Pop Brixton

Yesterday, Alex and I headed South to the neighborhood of Brixton.  Brixton is an interesting area in London as it recently went through a gentrification process; however, it was able to maintain its strong African-Caribbean influence.

We visited Pop Brixton which was created to turn disused land into a space for local, independent businesses.  There were multiple grab-and-go restaurants and beer/wine venues.  We opted to get tacos and quesadillas at Maria Sabina.  There were lots of picnic tables, so we parked ourselves at a table for awhile to enjoy our food and drinks while people-watching!
