Victoria & Albert Museum + Eclairs
On Thursday, we headed over to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design. One of the things I have loved about London is many of the museums are free to enter. This museum is HUGE and you could easily spend hours here. We walked through several exhibitions including: fashion, jewelry, stained glass and furniture. I didn't take any pictures inside the museum, but we did enjoy walking around.
After the museum, we walked over to Maitre Choux which I came across several times while researching the best bakeries and desserts in London (We all have our priorities! Ha!). Maitre Choux specializes in making eclairs where the dough that rises in the oven is soft and hollow inside and golden and crispy outside. The pastries looked like artwork and were so colorful and pretty. We ordered a Salted Butter with Homemade Caramel Eclair, a Spanish Raspberry Pink Eclair and a Tahitian Vanilla & Pecan Eclair. They were all delicious, but my favorite was the vanilla and pecan! I will definitely be making another stop here while we are in London!
