Llama Love

Two weekends ago, Alex and I headed north to visit Divine Llama Vineyard.  Before going to the vineyard, we stopped in Winston Salem to grab lunch at The Porch, Kitchen & Cantina.  It was delicious!  Highlights included pancake sticks with maple syrup dipping sauce and a Korean breakfast taco.  Yum!

When we arrived at Divine Llama Vineyard, we started with a tasting of 10 wines (5 white and 5 red).  Alex and I each purchased a glass of the Cabernet Franc to sip on while we wandered around the farm.  We were told they had 60 llamas, several miniature horses, one miniature donkey and lots of chickens.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon and I was in heaven being able to pet all the animals. As Alex can attest, I now want my own llama farm as they are such sweet and funny creatures!

The llamas were very friendly and we were told they especially like women because of the way their hair smells!! I just couldn't get enough of these llamas!  I hope to visit again soon!

Well, hello there!
